Summary

The latest EU Ecodesign Directive for fans - ErP 2026 (EU 2024/1834) - will officially enter into force on 24 July 2026. This new regulation introduces more stringent energy efficiency requirements and sets higher performance standards for fan products.

Starting from 24 July 2026, all fans placed on the EU market as individual product shall comply with the new regulation. From 24 July 2027, fans integrated into HVAC equipment, refrigeration equipment and ventilation systems shall follow the same requirements.

All types of fans with rated input power ranging from 0.125 kW to 500 kW, including axial fans, forward-curved centrifugal fans, backward-curved centrifugal fans, mixed-flow fans, etc.
All fans shall meet the minimum Fan Energy Grade (FEG) specified under the new regulation.
